Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 July 2026

This policy covers the website at dhivalabs.com and the applications published by Dhiva Labs (“we”, “us”). Dhiva Labs is an independent software laboratory based in Chennai, India, founded and operated by Dhivakar Rajaram.

The short version

Our applications are designed to work on your device. We do not operate accounts, we do not run advertising networks inside our apps, and we do not sell personal information to anyone. Where an application needs access to something on your device in order to function, that access is used for that function alone.

Information our applications handle

Most Dhiva Labs applications process data entirely on your own device and transmit nothing to us. Depending on what an application does, it may need permission to access things such as media files, storage, or network connections. In those cases:

Where a specific application does handle data differently, that behaviour is disclosed in that application's store listing and its Data Safety declaration, and in the README of its public source repository.

Information this website collects

This website does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party embeds that profile visitors. Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, and pages requested. These are retained by the host for operational and security purposes and are not used by us to build profiles of visitors.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive the contents of your message along with your email address. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Children

Our applications and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Open source

Our applications are released under the MIT licence and their source code is public at github.com/Dhiva-Labs. You are welcome to inspect exactly what any application does with your data — that verifiability is the point of publishing the source.

Note that third parties may fork, modify, and redistribute our code. Those builds are outside our control and are not covered by this policy. Only builds we publish ourselves are.

Third-party services

Applications distributed through Google Play are subject to Google's own handling of installation and crash data, governed by Google's privacy policy rather than ours. Source code and releases hosted on GitHub are likewise subject to GitHub's policy.

Your rights

Because we hold very little personal information, there is usually little to act on. Where we do hold something — correspondence, for instance — you may ask us to provide a copy of it or delete it, and we will do so within a reasonable period.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of our applications or this site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
